A2X Set Up and Training Services
Do you sell online? You need A2X. A2X is an integration that sits between your e-commerce platform, Amazon, Shopify, eBay, or Etsy, and sends the transactions directly into your accounting software, Xero, our preferred accounting system.
What is A2X and how does it work?
A2X saves you money and time, a win-win for any busy business owner trying to increase their sales. You could reduce the time spent each month with laborious manual bookkeeping and data entry by using A2X to automate the process. It is easy to see why we recommend it to our fast-paced e-commerce clients, and why they keep on using it.
If you are in e-commerce, it is important to use an accountant that understands the complexities of e-commerce. Different sales platforms have different fee structures and pricing points, but with our e-commerce knowledge, we are ideally placed to help you run your business in an effective and streamlined way. Selling online can be complex, and the accounting for this can be elaborate and time-consuming.
Our process is as follows:
- A2X initial set up & mapping – to facilitate this we will need access to all e-commerce platforms to be connected to A2X. We will then adjust the chart of accounts in Xero as necessary and draft the initial A2X mapping based on your requirements.
- Mapping review and training call – we will then arrange a Zoom call with you at a time convenient to you to talk you through the initial mapping. We will identify when your existing system has cut-off and confirm from which date you should start using A2X.
We will then talk through the different scenarios you will encounter when posting invoices to Xero such as:* Amazon – payments over a month end, pending/reserve balances
* Shopify – Shopify payouts, payments over a month end, pending balances, payment gateway clearing accounts for stores offering other payment methods. - Follow up call – We will arrange a follow up call a week or two after the training call to run through any troubleshooting issues you may be facing with A2X.
